ADMISSIONS TO THE WELLDON PARK ACADEMY

Our school is so much more than just a website and that is why we are so keen for those interested in joining The Welldon Park Academy to come and meet Mr Rogers, our Associate Headteacher, to have a tour around the school! You will have the opportunity to see learning in action, get a glimpse of school life and have the chance to ask as many questions as you like about school life.

We know choosing a school is a huge decision for parents and children alike. Come and visit - you won't be disappointed!

We are a part of an Academy Trust, however Harrow Council manage our admissions.

We do a prospective parent/carer tour every Monday morning at 9am.  If you would like to have a tour, just phone the office on 020 8864 9378 or email office@welldonparkprimary.harrow.sch.uk.

NURSERY Admissions

Interested in joining our Nursery?

Call our school office on 020 8864 9378 to book a meeting to come and meet our Nursery team led by our EYFS leader Miss Bloomfield. Our friendly and experienced team will be happy to take your questions and show you our setting!

The timings for Nursery are 8.40am to 11.40am.

As part of the transition, we do home visits for new families and also a phased start so children get used to being part of our Nursery. Every child has a Keyworker who will be your point of contact.

Sadly, a place in Welldon Park Nursery does NOT guarantee a place in our Reception.

Our CHATTERBOX Language Resource

The Welldon Park Academy is extremely proud to be home to our Chatterbox Language Resource.

This is an additionally resourced provision for children with Developmental Language Disorder. Children must have an Education and Health Care Plan or have be subject to a statutory assessment of need (and therefore join on an assessment place) and have been recommended a space in The Chatter Box through their Speech and Language Therapist and/or the local authority SENARS department to access this provision. The Resource Base is for children from Reception to Year 2.

If you would like to discuss The Chatterbox Language Resource in more detail and have been signposted to us by a speech and language therapist please contact Louise Bloomfield, Assistant Headteacher/SENCo on lbloomfield@theppt.co.uk who will be more than happy to help.

For more information on the Chatterbox resource visit this page of our website.

I have just moved to the area or I want my child to move to Welldon Park, how do I do this?

Any in-year admissions are organised through Harrow Council, so please use the contact details above.

Our Published Admission Number (PAN) for Reception is 60 children over two classes. The change of PAN from 90 to 60 was in response to the demand change in our part of the Borough, meaning we had surplus places. Please refer to the attached School Adjudicator’s report.

School Adjudicator's Report 7 January 2019.pdf

This is a permanent PAN change and will apply for 2020/21.

We follow Harrow Borough’s Fair Admissions Protocol regarding oversubscription. There is a commitment to Infant Class Sizes of 30 with two adults per class.
